I'm a self-proclaimed yarn addict, and I'm here to spread the love. But with so many types of yarn out there, it can be hard to know what's best for your latest project. And let's not forget the budget - because let's face it, yarn can get pricey. So where do I get my yarn, and what's my go-to? I'm about to share all my secrets.
I'm obsessed with ordering my DK and worsted weight yarn from Premieryarns.com. Their Premier Basix DK yarn is a great price at about $2.99 for 309 yards. Plus, it's ridiculously soft and easy to work with, and they've got a gazillion colors to choose from. It's perfect for all sorts of projects, from scarves to blankets. And, have you seen their Sweet Roll DK line? It's a bit more expensive at almost $6.00 per roll, but those bright and vibrant colors are everything! I use them all the time for my mandala blankets - and I love how easy it is to separate the colors, so I can control the color palette, with my awesome automatic yarn winder that I got on Amazon (whom i also love) - it was almost $80 and took a month to get here, but it was well worth the investment. Oh, and did I mention Premieryarns.com is super speedy with their shipping? You'll get your yarn fix in no time - usually within a week!
I've also ordered from Lionbrand.com for specific yarns, like their ridiculously smooth and silky Truboo, which is a double knit 100% rayon from bamboo yarn. It's a little more expensive at around $5.99. Lion Brand also carries the Mandala line, which I'm obsessed with, but let's be real, I buy it from Walmart's website because they carry it for a few bucks cheaper and they deliver with Walmart+ (which is amazing and worth the money if you ask me).
Walmart's got a surprisingly cool yarn selection, and I'm not just talking about the boring stuff. Red Heart's got its fans, but I'm just not one of them. But hey, I do use it for certain projects, like home decor stuff that doesn't require softness or squishiness. And let's be real, who am I to judge your yarn choices? If Red Heart's your thing, go for it!
Last but certainly not least, I have a confession to make: I'm a total yarn hoarder, and Temu is my go-to enabler. With a dizzying array of yarn types and colors, I'm like a kid in a candy store. If you're on the hunt for something truly unique, Temu's yarn selection is definitely worth a gander.
And that's a wrap folks, all my best yarn secrets are out in the open. Hope you found some of these tips as fantastically useful as I have. Big hugs to all my fellow yarn-loving crochet buddies!
